Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê (/ʃɘˈg̃atɪ/ /reˈcivi/ [impulse] [hoax]) is a subtropical Large Town located in the Ëradîvë Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê was founded by Annie Brthê, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê has a yearly average temperature of 23°C (73°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 20°C (68°F). Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê receives an average of 175 cm/y (68 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Overview

Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê was founded durring the early 12th century in spring of the year 1121, by Annie Brthê. The establishment of Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê's construction back out of the project. Annie Brthê pushed on reguardles, and Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê is buildings are arranged arround a network of spacious cobblestone streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town is protected by a well-crafted cobblestone fence tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Unfortuantly, these frontieer-style defences are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

Looking around Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê you immediately realise that the locals are looking back at you. All of them. Everywhere you look somone is staring back at you analytically, looking over every inch of you, your gear, and your companions. As you get close to people, their hands move closer to their belt knife, or dagger. You may want to watch where you go and what you say...

Civic Infrastructure

Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê's parks.

Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Large Town. Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê's grid is powered by hydrogalvanic generators.

Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê has a first rate hospital which caters to anyone in need of long term medical care.

Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê's natural decorations nor waterways.

Cultural Notes

Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its fluid and florid elaborate style, comprising ornate, asymmetric designs and pastel shades. It is often considered to be a playful, light style, which made exuberant use of curves and emphasized subtle asymmetry in the general shape of its structures. Walls, ceilings and moldings are decorated with numerous interlacing of curves and counter-curves based on the shapes of ‘C’ and ‘S’, along with shell forms and other naturalistic shapes.

Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê used to be more prosperous, but something happened relatively long ago that left it a shrunken shadow of its former self. If the settlement is prosperous, the locals often lament how much more they could have had. If the settlement is not prosperous, the locals blame their ill fortunes on that event. Reminders of this better time can be found in many places within Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century heavy spring rains following an uncharacteristically dry year and a minor earthquake resulted in the collapse of the north east side of Horror Valley. the landslide struck Shêg̈atî-recivi Fêqê, and devastated the community. 247 people, 167 livestock, and 68 buildings were lost to the calamity. The disaster is recorded in history as Horror's Fall.
